Fleet Recruit, Bazaar, and Search: Using Ingame Features By: Starcrossed of MTC

Title.

Fleeting, Bazaars, and Search: Little known game features and how to use them.

There several features in this game that are not clear on how to use. I will start by explaining the basics of these three features.

Fleeting:

If you need a fleet to complete a quest, specifically the school quests, you can use a feature called Recruit. To find Recruit, you click the fleet tab and Recruit is the first item on the list. When you select Recruit, you should type in your destination and in comments, type the name of the quest you are doing. You then may limit the people who are joining this fleet by nationality of level of your choice.

How do people find my fleet without standing next to me? That is coming soon.

Bazaar:

This is a wonderful feature that allows you to sell your goods without spamming everyone or simply giving it up to a vendor. To use this feature, you should select the Community tab which gives you a drop down box. The last option on the list is Bazaar. When you select this, a window opens that allows you to select the goods you want to sell, how many of them you want to sell, and the price. You can sell up to eight different goods at a time and also put a title to your bazaar, explaining the basic things you are selling there. You can only see this title by using /sit. This feature is great if you want to leave the game up and go to bed or go watch a movie, allowing for things to sell while you are away from the game.

Once more though, how do people view my bazaar without standing next to me? We're getting to that.

Search:

This is the final feature we will discuss. If you select the community tab, the first option that comes up is Search. You can use this option to find players who are in the same map as you are. This feature gives you a plethora of options to specify what types of players you want to find. You can limit it to Nationality, Level, and 'Status'. This option is what will allow you to find people who are looking for fleets, people who have bazaars up, and even let you know if there are pirates in your region.

If you select the Recruiting Members option under search, it will allow you to find players who are searching for fleets. You can select their name then click Browse Recruiting Details at the bottom of the window. This will allow you to see what they are recruiting for and what their requirements for joining are. This option is what makes the Recruit option under Fleet worth it. Using Search and Recruit together can lead to quicker grouping rather than running around shouting 'need group'.

If you select the Bazaar option under search, it will allow you to find players who have bazaars up in your area. Now, rather than running around town looking for bazaars you can simply click a player's name and select the Browse Bazaar Items from the bottom of the window and see if people are selling what you need in a particular city. This will save you a ton of time if you are going from city to city looking for something in specific.

Finally, if you select the Bounty option under search, it will allow you to find players who have bounties in your area. This is useful at sea if you are looking to avoid pirates. While yes, pirates can use Private Mode to avoid being seen using Search, they cannot attack while in Private Mode, so they are no threat to you anyways.

I hope some people find this useful!

Have fun and good sailing!
