The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense responsible for the development of new technology for use by the military. DARPA has been responsible for funding the development of many technologies which have had a major effect on the world, including computer networking, as well as NLS, which was both the first hypertext system, and an important precursor to the contemporary ubiquitous graphical user interface.
BioDesign - Its a project that combines Biology and Technology together covering $6 million on its research, this project is based on belief that we can speed up and somehow manipualte evolution. these creatures are not machine rather an actual living and breathing creature, it has death-resistant cells and has a potential to live forever.
Since as what we stated earlier these creatures has a built-in kill switch program in its genetic code, if the creatures went into the wrong hands the genetic self destruct is going to be activated.
Evolution is complicated algorithm, not a random series of events. Attempting to circumvent the normal course of natural selection it will be tricky at best – and dangerous at worst. What kind of ethical can of worms will DARPA open by creating organisms never before seen on Earth? We can’t tell you that, but when they bring one of these things to life we’re pretty sure we’ll be hiding out in an undisclosed fortified location.
